The day you turned one year old was one of the happiest days of my life. It was right up there with the day I got married, the day Ella was born and of course the day you were born. What a long journey it was to get here. One that I will never forget for the rest of my life.
Scarlett Grace, you will never know how much I love you. You will never know how grateful I am to have you and your big sister. You are one year old and have taught me more about life and what really counts than all of my life experiences combined. To see you smile melts my heart and lets me know you are happy. To know that you are happy and not suffering helps my heart to heal.
I cannot complain if I am never to recieve any other gifts from God, as long as you and Ella are healthy and happy. That, alone, is enough.
Scarlett Grace, you cannot imagine how many people prayed for you over the last year. You cannot imagine how many people helped mommy and daddy so that we could focus on getting you better. Lastly, you cannot imagine what a miracle you are to be with us today.
Thank you, Scarlett, for allowing daddy and I the awesome opportunity to be your parents. We love you and your sissy more than anything in this world and will do whatever it takes to continue seeing you smile.
