The no good, very bad week..

This last Wednesday evening I woke mommy up at 3am to let her know I did not feel well at all. Turns out that I was running a fever and was getting sick. The next morning mommy awoke to find herself also feeling under the weather. Not good!

On Friday we ended up Both going to the doctor to find out we had viral infections. Mommy was frustrated because that meant there was no medicine to take, other than Tylenol for fever! To top Everything off, we had been homebound and could not enjoy the outdoors.

To round out the week, I ended up going to the hospital. Before I share the end of the story I have to ask for all mommies and daddies to pay close attention to this painful lesson my mommy had to learn. On monday afternoon mommy had put in a movie for me to watch since I would not nap. While I was watching the movie, mommy was doing laundry and catching up on household chores. At one point she left the bedroom to get the clothes out of the dryer and I decided I wanted to see what was in mommy's medicine bottle on her nightstand. When mommy brought the dry laundry back into the bedroom to fold, I had already eaten one of her pills. Moral of the story, keep all medication away from us little people. We will get into it, even if it is suppose to be "child protected". It scared mommy and daddy so bad and I ened up having to go to the hospital and eat charcoal to absorb the medication.

Thank goodness I ended up being ok but I will never do that again!!!!

Fun in the sun

 As you know, it has been hot outside and mommy, daddy and I have been enjoying our new backyard. I cannot tell you how nice it is to run around with little supervision and explore the outdoors. Since I have been on break from school, Mommy has continued to keep me as busy as she possibly can. The last few weeks have been filled with playdates, swimming and experiencing new Disney movies. (For when the weather is scorching....which is all the time in Houston.) I have also been introduced to watercolor paints, play-doh, etc. My new favorite movie is "Tinkerbell" and I have also enjoyed "Alice and Wonderland." Our next movie on tap is "Bambi" which is one of mom's favorites.

 Yesterday we decided to get creative and play on my new Hopscotch water mat. Mommy tried to teach me how to play hopscotch but I became confused and decided to run through the water instead of hop.

While playing on my water mat, mommy thought up this great idea that she would go down the wet slide for fun. Let's just say that we did it once and that was it. Mommy hurt her bum bum and I became scared at how fast we went down. Daddy thought it was hilarious and took a pic.

While mommy and were staying cool, poor daddy was digging up three small trees. Since they were getting in the way of him flying his helicopter in the backyard, he decided they had to go..... Boys and their toys...

Markers, crayolas, stickers.....oh my!

Since I have been on break from school, mommy has attempted to keep me as busy as she possibly can. Yesterday I was surprised by an extra special treat when we pulled up to Madeline and Eli's house for a playdate. I was so excited! Eli was in my class last year and I have missed him so very much.

As you can see, we spent most of the time working on arts and crafts while the mommies caught up on baby talk and conversation. You see, Eli's mommy is 33 weeks pregnant and ready for her baby to come. Since daddy is out of town all week for work, I sure was glad mommy had some "adult" conversation!

Eli became a little carried away with the orange marker!!! Now that was an understatment!!!!

Summer has arrived

 Wow, mommy has been slacking in the blogging department. The good news is that she is starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel and is starting to feel better. You have no idea how greatful I am that she is feeling better because I have been ready to get out of the house! Yesterday, mommy took me to the local water park to meet some new friends and run around and play. It was a blast and I can't wait to go back.

 I really enjoyed feeling the water under my toes and the sense of freedom it felt to run around and play without mommy two steps behind me.

We had a ton of fun and I can't wait to go back. Now I just have to wait patiently for summer camp and swimming lessons to begin!
