Tour De Lubbock

Hey, Family! What a great week it has been. Sorry I haven't blogged in a while but I have been in Lubbock visiting family and friends. Boy, and it was the best week ever!! Here I am with Ava Grace, my mommy's best friend from college and her little girl. We had a ball. Ava was the neatest little girl in the world. She taught me all kinds of things. I want to be like her when I get that big.

Here I am with mommy's best friend from Jr. High, Courtney. She was so sweet to me and laughed at everything I did.

One day we went to visit my mom's family in Shallowater. Here I am with Kennadi and her Mommy. Kennadi was absolutley precious and so sweet.

Here I am at my Mimi's house swimming with Alexis, my cousin. This was very interesting. If you look closely you will see that my mommy is actually in the pool with us. This is because the water was so cold that I refused to get in without her. So, mom jumped in, clothes and all!

It was a great week and I was so sad to see it end!

Lubbock made me smarter!

Hey friends and family, Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I have had a busy schedule. Mommy and I came to Lubbock Monday night and have not stopped since. In the short time I have been here I have become a sprinter crawler and have also learned to pull up onto my knees. Hee-Hawww! I can reach for things, knock over drinks and make new discoveries. I am now making mommy very tired.
Today we met some of mommie's friends for lunch and are now about to take a nap to get ready for swim time later today. I will report more tomorrow with pics!!

Swimming Dragon

What a great day today was. It started off this morning when my mommy and I went shopping for the perfect father's day gift. Obviously, I can't tell you about it now because it would ruin the surprise. Let me just say that we did good! We then went home and napped and when I woke up we joined our neighbors for a little pool party. When I went over I noticed that the pool had a scary looking dragon spitting water out of its mouth. I was a little intimidated but also excited to see my friend Collin.

While in the pool, Collin started splashing me....so I splashed back. We had a blast. Collin showed me how to kick my feet, too. Wow, he knows a lot of stuff.

I guess mommy couldn't stand that I was having fun without her so she proceeded to get in the pool, clothes and all! Laura, Collin's mom then said what the heck and joined in, too. I am glad we don't live directly on street. LOL

"It's Official" We have a crawler!!

Yes, I am crawling! I have gone backwards once and forwards once. I am a little wobbly but I am doing it. This is the ticket! Now I can reach things and do some exploring. Mommy and daddy have been working with me to get on my knees but didn't understand why until now. I can open drawers, drag mommy's purse and get under the bed. It's a blast. You should try it.

Floaty Fun

What a wonderful weekend in Austin with friends and family...and there was the most handsome little boy there. Wow, I would love to play with him again sometime. Here I am with daddy, showing him all my swimming skills. Taught him a lot!

Here I am in my floaty with mom. This is where I want to be for life. I am truly a water baby.

Here I am listening to Cindy sing to me. I had began to get a little crabby from all the swimming and excitement and she was so sweet to me. Thank you cindy.

Purses

So, I am experiencing mommy's OCD issue for the very first time. I have never seen a person that likes to throw things away as much as her. Why does she like that so much. Anywho, tonight mommy decided that she is going to clean out the entire house, starting with her closet. As she was doing that I decided that I would do a little exploring. I made a B line for the purses. Mommy said I had good taste. I would agree. Here I am trying them on to see how they work.

Oh, and I am still not crawling. I am close but can't seem to get past the rocking stage. The way I see it, why would I crawl when mommy can carry me?

Special tricks I can do..

For those that don't get to see me very often, I have several new tricks up my sleeves these days. In the above picture my mommy had just put me to bed for the night. You can see I am looking at my own special music box I have in my crib. There is a button you can push and it turns the music and lights on. So, every night when my mommy puts me to bed I roll over and push that button and turn it on. If I am not very tired I will push it several times until I fall asleep. I also turn it on in the morning when I am ready to get up so that my mommy knows to get me out of my crib.

Here I am, learning to pull myself up with the curtains in my bedroom. For some reason, mommy said politely, "No no, honey." What does no no mean?

For some time now I have been able to roll all over the place. Mommy and daddy think it is funny the way I do it. I like to use my hand to help me get the momentum going. What is wrong with that?

Little Fish

Here is mommy and I right before my first swimming lesson! Can you believe it? Summer is finally here. I was so excited I couldn't hardly wait to get in.

Here is mawl and I testing the water before it was time to start. She let me put my feet in the water and I loved it. She said it was pretty chilly but I didn't care.

Here I am with mom practicing my kick and paddle moves. I caught on quickly.

When it was time to dip our heads in the water, I became a little nervous for the first time. Mommy, thats cold..

Here we all our in a circle singing the wheels on the bus...Wow, what a good first day. Night night.
