Weekend of Little People

Our weekend started off with a bang on friday when Amy and baby Harper came over to hang out and enjoy the beautiful afternoon. I was so excited to see miss Harper and show her all of my toys. While mommy and amy visited, I tried to show Harper the ropes. There was only one problem with this, which was the fact that she couldn't walk! Oh well, we still managed to have a great time. I pretended to be Harper's mommy and put her pacifier back in when it would fall out.

I talked Amy into climbing the rock wall with me and she was such a trooper! Go Ammes. We had such a great time with them and we hope to do it again soon.

On Sunday, we went to church and then joined Papa Bear, Lizzy Bear, Margaux and Meyer for lunch. It was so much fun to see them and us little ones even got to splurge on some delicious ice cream after lunch! Thanks to Lizzy Bear, I was able to indulge, too!

If you didn't know any better, we could pass for sisters... Aren't we cute! Fun weekend, mommy and daddy!

Technology is good

One advantage of having a daddy that is into technology is that I get to see all kinds of fun gadgets that he brings home. The latest gadget he brought home was a set of earphones that I can wear and hear the tv. The best part is that it is cordless and I can tune my parents out whenever I want.

The best part for them.......is when I come in early on saturday morning to get in bed with them and they want to sleep in. They turn Dora the Explorer on, put my headphones on and back to sleep they can go. At least for a few extra precious minutes. Priceless!!!!

Happy Birthday, Liam!

Today I attended my friend Liam's 1st birthday party and it was an absolute hit! Hungry Catapillar was the theme and she really outdid herself. In the above pic you can see all of us on a huge catapiller. He was too cute.

Here I am with the birthday boy playing in the balls. We had loads of fun and entertained ourselves for at least 15 minutes before deciding to rejoin the party..

Big Girl Bed....Part #2

So, after mommy and daddy got rid of the box springs, it actually looked like a regular size bed. Mommy decked it out and now I feel like I have a Cinderella bed. Daddy said he didn't understand why the bed had to have so many decorative pillows, but I love them!!!! Daddy, all Cinderella beds have lots of pillows. Right?

Big Girl Bed....NO JOKE!

This is by far the funniest picture my mommy has ever taken of me. Bless her heart, she had no idea what she was getting herself into. This morning mommy and daddy decided that it was time for a big girl bed. They had no idea it would be the height of a NBA basketball player! Nonetheless, they made a decision that the box springs would be removed for the time being or at least until I don't need a ladder to get in bed.....

Happy Birthday, Ryan!!!

Well, we actually pulled it off. We surprised Uncle Ryan by throwing him a 30th birthday party a few weeks early. Rest assured he was totally shocked....and speechless.

Now these ladies have the best seats in the whole house! The desserts that were brought were absolutely amazing. White chocolate bread pudding, carrot cake and homemade cobbler. You just couldn't beat it if you tried!!!!!

This was an official handshake between my mommy and uncle ryan. My mommy said that in order to have his birthday gift from her and mimi, he could never ever make fun of her being older than him. He agreed and we have put it on the blog as a reference.

Uncle Ryan was so sweet to take time out of his busy party to let me listen to his heart. You see, my favorite thing to do these days is play doctor and give people shots. lol

Playdate at the Holmes

This playdate had been a long time coming, is all I can say. Since moving to our new home our mommies have been trying to get us together for a playdate. Thank goodness it finally happened because I have really missed Collin. I can't tell you how excited I am to live closer so that we can get together more often. So, this morning mommy got me up, dressed and out the door in a flash. When we arrived, Collin showed me all of his new toys at his house. We dressed up as a skeleton and Thomas the choo choo train.

Our next venture was in the backyard. Collin proceeded in attempting to teach me how to play catch. I will say that I tried really hard....but could not manage to catch it. Oh well, it was a blast learning new things.

Our last stop was going to the Nature Sanctuary near Collin's house. This was my favorite. We walked across bridges, along trails and on top of docks. I saw two turtles sunbathing on a log in the water. They were so cute.

Happy New Years 2011

In order to ring in the new year right, mommy and daddy decided to throw their first annual New Years party. The idea came from mommy and I think it was a dandy idea. Above you can see all of us acting silly for the camera.

It was so nice to see all of mommy and daddy's friends, as well as mine. I loved getting to play with Liam, Ethan, Collin, Aiden and Joey. I could surely get accustomed to this... It is so nice to have family and little friends to grow up with!

Here I am teaching collin how to turn the bar into monkey bars..! Aren't we cute? It was so great to see him and I look forward to many more hang outs, now that we live so much closer. You see, I figure since I have a playground and Collin has a pool, it is a win win situation.

Here I am with daddy shooting off my very first sparkler. Little did everyone know that after a few minutes of practice, I was waiving that sparkler around like it was going out of style! I got so out of control that I burned my tutu.

I couldn't finish this post without giving a little history of some of the work that took place before the party. Most of you know that we moved into our new home about a month ago and had a ton to do. While on Christmas break, mommy and daddy bought a chandelier for the entryway. Daddy got this crazy idea to hang it himself. What a wild ride that was to watch. Nonetheless, he succeeded and did a great job. Mommy, in the future, if you buy a chandelier....please hire someone to hang it before daddy gets home.
