Cousins, cousins, and more cousins

If the heading didn't give it away, here I am visiting my family this past weekend in Lubbock. Mommy and I decided to head west to see some of our favorite people in the whole world. He had a rocky start getting into town on Thursday, due to all the snow Lubbock recieved, but mommy was determined and we finally made it in that night. The first day we opted to stay in due to all the cold weather, but the second day we were off to the races. We went shopping to all of mom's favorite hot shot boutiques and then headed to her Aunt Rita's house for some family fun.

In the pics above to see me playing with Kennadi and Jena. We had a ball. They taught me all kinds of cool games and we played for hours while mommy spent time yapping away with all the "grown up" people.

Chucky Cheese if you please!

Friday night mommy and daddy suprised me by taking me to the most amazing resturant called "Chucky Cheese". Not only is it a place to eat pizza but you can watch a live band put on by Chucky, mouse, gorilla, etc. You can also ride ultra fun rides and play all kinds of games. Now just wondering why my parents have been holding out on me? Above is me riding with Chucky Cheese himself. After riding the ride 5 times daddy finally pulled me out to try and get me to ride other rides. Not what I wanted to do..

Here I am with Daddy playing a toddler video game. Daddy had a blast showing me how the game works since he loved them growing up. All in all, it was some great family fun. The only bad part is that my parents had to drag me out of there. I cried for 10 minutes on the drive home. Maybe that means they will take me back really really really really soon!

Slacker Mommy

Wow. it has been way too long. I finally talked mommy into signing me into the blog so I could post an update. She has been so busy with other stuff that she has not let me get on in a while. I have wonderful news to share with you. I am getter taller! Guess what that means?

Yes, you guessed it. I can reach for things which means that mommy is having to re-arrange anything and everything. She has to tell me no-no more which has hurt my feelings a few times. All I can say is that it opens a whole new world for me. I have been able to grab brushes, razors, soap. books, glass objects, ect.

My other news is that I can officially open doors that mommy and daddy close to keep me inside. Yea, they were not quite prepared for that one. I guess that is one of the advantages to being a tall little girl!

Here I was this morning in my spare time. Izzy and I have this game where I will lay on his pillow and he will try to knock me off. It is entertainment for both of us!!

2010 here we come!

Mommy has taken over the blog for this posting! Above is mommy with her sister and cousin at the New Year's party. We are pretending to be Charlie's Angels!!

What a great time it is to reflect upon the last year. So many joys I could share with you but the biggest has been the time we have enjoyed with our little girl. I can honestly tell you that I never understood or comprehended how fullfilling being a mother would be for me. I remember a conversation I had with my grandmother around the age of 5 or 6, when she asked me how many kids I would have when I grew up. My answer was 6. Ya, I know. Don't worry....I do not feel that way today. But the memory made me realize that I always had the dream of being a mother.

Also this year, Chris and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary. It was a very special milestone for us both. So, to celebrate we embarked on a 7 day cruise. It was a blast and we were very greatful for the alone time. (No offense, Ella)

Other special events that occurred were Ella's first birthday, the pregnancies of Elizabeth, Kate and Michele, whom I dearly love. I am so excited to report that Elizabeth had her two bundles of joy two days ago. They are healthy and happy and we can't wait to watch them grow up. Their names are Margo and Meyer. We love you!

Lastly, the recent move of my sister, Alisha, is an extra speical highlight to my year. I am so excited and can't wait to get into trouble together. HA!
