Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to everyone! What a fun holiday my family and I had this past week. I had so much fun, in fact, that it was extremely hard to muster the strength to prepare to go home. Above is a picture of myself with my sissy, cousin Reecie Pie and baby cousin Avery in matching outfits that our BB bought for us to wear on the 4th. It was so sweet of BB to think of us and that is one out of a million reasons she is so special to us little ones. 

Here I am relaxing in my spot as I watch some morning cartoons as I patiently wait for everyone wake up. 

Now I know it could be confusing to see me in a pool when I have said we are going to our "lake house" but let me clarify that BB and papa have both. (Thanks to BB) I had so much fun swimming with everyone and showing off  new swimming skills.

Above are daddy and I about to set off on a new adventure on papa's 4 wheeler.  Whew! That was a blast!! If only he would let me drive it..

Scarlett had a little mishap while I was pushing her inside a child size wheel barrel. Lets just say we had a great time until the barrel hit the rug, which caused Scarlett to tip forward smashing her nose , lip and forehead into the tile floor. You could imagine that was the end of that experience. 

Scarlett and Reecie had a big time together, as always. They enjoyed testing their mommies by attempting to go up the stairs about every 30 seconds or so.

Above is papa holding the newest addition to our family, Avery man. I think he was in Heaven.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was going out on the lake. We, for sure, are a lake family and my parents have gone out of their way to make me that way by starting me off at about 1 year old. So, now that some time has passed and BB and papa have bought a lake house,  we look forward to perfecting all kinds of sports on the water. On this trip, papa spent a large amount of time teaching my mommy how to drive the boat pulling a skier. Mommy had a blast, as we did. Above is mommy and I on the innertube. We had a ball!

All in all, we had a great week. If I could have changed anything, it would have been to have JJ, uncle Moises and cousin Abby join us. We all missed them terribly but hope to see them soon. Ta Ta  for now!

Weight is 26 lbs and 5 oz.  87%ile

Height is 33 1/4 inches.     86%ile

FOC is 19 1/4 inches.        97%ile

Hard work, discipline, health

Mommy had to input this photo as proof of all her hard work. She is certainly excited to report that after 18 months of a lot of hard work she is finally back to her pre pregnancy weight. Yes, it took a full 18 months, which is very atypical. It turns out that the older mommy becomes the hard she found it was to lose weight. She wanted to write about this to inform all mommies to not give up and that you can lose the weight if you want. The key being to have the right frame of mind. HEALTH. Eating healthy,exercising and positive self affirmations are key. She also stated that comparing your body to others is the single biggest pitfall to successful weight loss. Your body is like no one else's in the world. Love it and treat it kindly. It will be what carries you through the rest of your life. :))

The no good very bad day

Mommy just felt like posting these priceless photos to show a glimpse of miss Scarlett's personality beginning to shine thru. She has been such a shining star in all of our lives and we are eternally grateful to have her healthy and happy. 

What has been so interesting is how much of a natural comedian she is. (And doesn't even know it) She is such a hoot!!

Ella's First Ballet Recital

What a blast it was to actually perform in my very first ballet recital. Words cannot express how excited I was to put on some of mommy's makeup and get dressed to the gills.

Mommy said I did an amazing job even though I know I missed a few moves. Lol! I was so excited to have my maw, daddy and sissy in attendance. I felt like a little princess never less!

Happy Father's Day to the best husband and daddy in the world!

We could never have asked for a better man to come into our lives and guide our family. You continuously amaze us at your ability to lead by example in your Christian faith.

Throwback Thursday

Last Thursday chia came over for a visit. As mommy was gathering baby items she no longer needed, she stumbled upon my old nap nanny. 

It still felt as comfy as ever. Are you sure we have to part ways with my recliner, mommy?
