Ella's First Gymnastics Recital

 This last weekend was my very first gymnastics recital. It was an exciting event and I was so excited to have some of my favorite people there to cheer me on. :)

 One of the most exciting aspects of having a recital is showing your family and friends all that you have learned since the beginning of the school year. I was so proud to show off my new skills and always turned to my parents after completing a task to make sure they saw what I had just done.

 While on the uneven bars I decided to take a break in the pose above and shout "Hi" to my mommy and daddy. The crowd broke into laughter and mommy very sheepishly waved and encouraged her to keep going.

 Between Mimi, Maw, Scarlett and mommy.....we had a pretty loud cheering crowd. (not to mention daddy, Chia, Reecie and Ry Ry on the sidelines.)

Can we say INTENSE?

Here we are in the medal ceremony. I was one proud little girl. Puffed my chest out for everyone to see my medal for the next 8 hours. LOL!

Daddy was so proud of me. Oh, and did I mention that he and I matched? While picking out a blue shirt for my recital I was adamant that I wanted my shirt to look just like daddy's under armour shirts he wears on the weekends. Mommy continuously tried to discourage this to no avail. I think we looked so so cutie!

Easter 2012

 

"Here comes Peter _______ hoppin down the bunny trail,....."

You know the rest of the song and boy did he ever hop along to my house this year! I believe Scarlett, Abby and I must have been really really really good girls because the Easter bunny showered us with gifts. One word comes to mind...Candy, Candy and more Candy.

After my school Easter party mommy, daddy, scarlett, Izzy and I loaded up and headed to Dallas to see family. It proved to be an interesting drive, as it was Scarlett's first time to travel by car. We made it work and so glad we did because I missed my family so very much.

One of the absolute highlights of the trip for me was seeing my cousin, Abby. I had not seen her in so long and I was so excited to play with her. She was so much fun and actually interacted with me, unlike Scarlett. No offense, Scar. :)

Another special aspect of this trip was introducing Scarlett and Abby. Abby was so interested in my baby sister and really wanted to love on her. It was so sweet to see them interact and to see someone else get frustrated with the fact that sissy doesn't do much. LOL!

Cartoons, cartoons, cartoons. Was trying to teach Scarlett the ropes on the character's names. Don't believe she retained the information.

Here I am teaching Papa A how to color. Bless his heart...he tried. :)

God bless my BB is all I have to say. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't know how to make cereal for breakfast. Above is BB teaching me how to make homemade cinnamon rolls. It was a blast and I can't wait to see what we will cook up next. Love you, BB! Your the best.

Teaching Papa A how to play bunny cards. I gave up after about 20 minutes because he wouldn't let me cheat.

Here is sissy in a bouncer for the very first time. Personally, I thought she was about the cutest baby I have ever seen in my life. Just wish mommy and daddy would let me squeeze her to death but they won't. She did really good and stayed in the bouncer for about 20 minutes without getting fussy. Go sissy!!

And off to the Easter egg hunt we went..

All I kept thinking was CHOCOLATE! There is chocolate in these eggs. I have to hustle!
