Babies+premature+asthma+virus= RSV

While anticipating the birth of my baby sister I knew that something special was about to happen. What I didn't know was how much attention she would require. I can admit I was not prepared for the next four and a half months. It has been nothing but Scarlett...Scarlett....Scarlett. What happened to the good ole days when everyone would gather in the living room to watch me perform? Am I old news now? I wonder if I laid down on a blanket and began drooling and "cooing" at my parents, if they would clap for me like they do for Scarlett?
As you can imagine, life has been an adjustment since then. No. Nothing takes the cake like the last week. Mommy took Scarlett to the doctor last week after sensing that my sister wasn't feeling well. Turns out she RSV for the second time. Not only was it bad news for mommy but it was really bad news for me. For the last five days it has been all about Scarlett. If it's not time to feed her a bottle it is time to give her medicine. If it is not time to give her medicine it is time to give her a breathing treatment. Repeat. I cannot win. Period.
Enough of my complaints. I can honestly say that it has been very scary to see my baby sissy so sick. At the end of the day, I can say that I love her so much and do not like to she her suffer. Mommy and daddy have also been stressed making sure she has everything she needs to get well. Scarlett is not a complainer and has even managed to stay in good spirits. Above, she is having tummy time and reaching for her very first object. You can see the concentration is intense.
Overall, Scarlett is such a joy in my life. (Don't tell her that.) I know I complain about her but can't imagine my life without her. She is the best little sissy in the world. Get well soon, Scarlett!

Ella's First Gymnastics Recital

This last weekend was my very first gymnastics recital. It was an exciting event and I was so excited to have some of my favorite people there to cheer me on. :)
One of the most exciting aspects of having a recital is showing your family and friends all that you have learned since the beginning of the school year. I was so proud to show off my new skills and always turned to my parents after completing a task to make sure they saw what I had just done.
 In line ready to go!
 Are you impressed yet?
While on the uneven bars I decided to take a break in the pose above and shout "Hi" to my mommy and daddy. The crowd broke into laughter and mommy very sheepishly waved and encouraged her to keep going.
Between Mimi, Maw, Scarlett and mommy.....we had a pretty loud cheering crowd. (not to mention daddy, Chia, Reecie and Ry Ry on the sidelines.)
Can we say INTENSE?
Here we are in the medal ceremony. I was one proud little girl. Puffed my chest out for everyone to see my medal for the next 8 hours. LOL!
Daddy was so proud of me. Oh, and did I mention that he and I matched? While picking out a blue shirt for my recital I was adamant that I wanted my shirt to look just like daddy's under armour shirts he wears on the weekends. Mommy continuously tried to discourage this to no avail. I think we looked so so cutie!
Mommy, Chia and I taking a pic.
Good Times. :)
